Divorce is a challenging process in the best of circumstances and feels impossible when the other side is not working towards a resolution.  In my care, the other side was all too happy to churn documents for no apparent reason but to drive up fees.  I felt lucky to have Lisa and Bruce who focused on my goals (a resolution) and refused to participate in the mindless back and forth even if it would have generated fees for them.  They ran an efficient and cost-effective process that resulted in a fair settlemenmt that I feel good about in the end.  They listened to my wishes and acted accordingly which, in speaking to other people in a similar situation, is none to common.  i would highly recommend Lisa and Bruce especially when the estate is sizable and the situation contentious.

After a long and contentious divorce, then 4 years later another complicated forced legal action filed against me, I turned to Lisa Hughes for help.  She personally answered my phone call.  She rolled up her sleeves and went to work to fight for me, while I was "behind the 8 ball".  (Literally, her firm did throughout the night of that call.)

(That's a joke.)   My experience has shown me the only place you have a chance for good results is at Hughes and Hughes.

I had the privilege of working with the firm of Hughes and Hughes. My divorce lasted over 8 years.  I retained the firm of Hughes about 2 years after my divorce started, and I worked with the Hughes firm for 6 years.  The entire staff of Hughes was professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and helpful! They were always there to help me, even during parts of my divorce, where I had personal issues and some low points in my life.  The Hughes never waivered, and always were positive and looked out for my best interests!

They tried few times to mediate my divorce, and got me close to end it, until my X decided to go after frivolous issues.  Again, the entire Hughes firm was able to beat every issue she had.  

As time went, I felt like it was more personal with the Hughes. They cared about me.  Of course they billed for their work.  But it was very transparent and my invoices were fair and open to discuss any issues I came up with.  

Resolving any issues with the firm was easy and open.  I got honest answers to my questions, even at times I didn’t want to hear their answer! But, as always at the end of the day, after dealing with other attorneys during my business, I knew I got the truth.  That’s all we can expect and want!  Good or bad news, honest allowed us to resolve my divorce after a very difficult 8 year process. 

To end a long story, the Hughes were able to get finality with my divorce, where my X couldn’t go back after me for anything. No appeal, not after my businesses etc.   That was a huge goal of mine.  They were able to negotiate that, in a simple, painless, and fair way for me.  

I have nothing but respect and I’m grateful for what Bruce, Lisa, and their firm were able to resolve, in a very difficult divorce

In a fun short story, I’ll doubt I’ll ever marry again. But, if I was, or even had a relationship where we lived together, Hughes made it very clear for me. They’d always be for me in anyway, in the future!  What else could you ask for?! Nothing!
